LANDSCAPE METROPOLIS # 4
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – CRITCIZING PRACTICE, PRACTICING CRITIQUE
SPOOL is an open access journal for design in architecture and the built environment. In this issue 'Criticizing practice, practicing critique' we aim to explore the phenomenon of critique and its importance for designers working in the landscape metropolis.
We invite previously unpublished scholarly critique on landscape architectural, architectural and urban design projects, in the metropolitan landscape, conceived or realized, with a focus on Europe, and we also welcome scholarly reflection about forms of critique within the design disciplines. In offering project critiques and its meta-reflection, this issue of SPOOL wants to create a platform for debate on criticism. We are eager to see how this specific academic genre works, and how its sound academic foundation can eventually help mediate between design practice and scholarly practice.
